" If i had to create a bumper sticker that modeled my philosophy for life, it would be "Live your life as you dream of it, even though you may have your ups and downs, I'd rather be living reality then fantasy somewhere else". This motto i made up applies to my life because i always wake up from that good old dream and make it happen, I don't want to live fantasy in that dream i want to make it happen and live real!
Everyone one has ups and downs but the only thing they put their full attention on is their downs. We always ask our selves "why me?", the real question is "why not you?". What makes you better then the person beside you. Both of you are smart, right and wrong. Think about it like this, if you did'nt have those down times, then how will you be able to communicate, how will you understand anyone if you havn't experienced those feelings yet.
Great bumper sticker! if you stay positive it's easier to make your dreams happen rather than focusing on the negatives and not doing anything.

ReplyDeleteits a really good idea, sometimes it woudn't work because everybody at some point thinks "why me?" but if you can live your life like that even sometimes its definitely an achievement. lol

ReplyDeleteWhy not me? Exactly! We have to ask ourselves and consider the ups and downs that made up who we are. We can be anything we want to be in fantasy, but to make it a reality takes heart. =]

ReplyDeleteI like the idea you had at the end of your explanation of your bumper sticker. You indicated that empathy is a powerful tool in connecting with someone. It is interesting that someone who has had similar experiences in life can have such powerful insight into someones life. Often people who can express empathy rather than sympathy have more poignant suggestions to dealing with difficulties. It's good to hear so many people have a optimistic outlook on their lives.
